of small |
| three-dimensional
collages |
| made
of old book pages |
| and
documents, and some |
| of
my monoprinted papers. |
| I
love the subtle variety of |
| colors
that old papers take |
| on,
and the staining and |
| foxing
that occur with age. |
| Often
I find that the back |
| of
a printed paper is more |
| interesting
than the front. |
| I
was intrigued too with the |
|
play of light and shadow |
| on
the folded and wrinkled |
| papers.
To emphasize this |
| I've
mounted them in eight- |
| ply
mats that are raised |
| from
the backing board to |
|
give an additional shadow. |
