are decollages, created |

from weathered posters |
| rescued
from a plywood |
| barrier
around a construction |
| site.
The papers were faded, |
| blistered,
and gritty with |
| traffic
grime. In the studio, |
| I
found that the reverse, |
| unprinted
sides were more |
| interesting
than the printed |
| sides,
and I began to see |
| hidden
landscapes. I've done |
| very
little alteration to the |
| papers,
except to add some |
| tiny
words dealing with |
| perception,
perspective, |
| and
topography, cut from |
|
a pocket dictionary. |
